Expert Orofacial Myofunctional Therapy care for a radiant smile in your community.
Orofacial Myofunctional Therapy (OMT) is an exercise program that retrains your face and mouth muscles. It restores the correct resting position of your tongue, lips, and jaw. By fixing these muscle habits, OMT improves your breathing, swallowing, and overall facial health.
Orofacial Myofunctional Disorders (OMD) are problems with the muscles and function of the mouth and face. They happen when the lips, jaw, or tongue are in the wrong position during rest, swallowing, or speech. These incorrect muscle habits can seriously affect everything from breathing and sleep to facial growth, chewing, and the stability of dental work.
Muscle function dictates facial growth. Early habits like nasal breathing and proper swallowing guide development. OMT corrects poor muscle patterns to improve breathing, sleep, and facial appearance at any age.

Comprehensive Initial Assessment
Our 90-minute Initial Assessment is conducted in-person with strict safety protocols to ensure the highest quality and most comprehensive evaluation. We prioritize in-person consultations to ensure a comprehensive, hands-on evaluation of orofacial function and to build a collaborative relationship with each client. During this session, we will:

Oral Habit Elimination Program
This program, usually focused on 30 days, was developed for clients aged 4 years and older who need to eliminate persistent oral habits such as thumb sucking, prolonged pacifier use, nail biting, and more.
Habit elimination is a necessary first step before beginning full Myofunctional Therapy, as these habits directly interfere with establishing correct muscle function.
Following successful habit elimination, we strongly recommend continuing with a full Myofunctional Therapy program to focus on the four core goals and ensure long-term functional health.

Mini-Myo Program (Ages 3-6)
This fun and interactive program is specifically designed for our youngest clients, typically aged 3 to 6 years old, and consists of 4 to 6 sessions. Appointments are scheduled monthly to ensure consistent progress and lasting habit formation. The program focuses on establishing the four core pillars of orofacial health: nasal breathing, proper lip seal, tongue posture, and swallowing pattern. It is important to note that the success of the program will depend on the child’s level of maturity and the parents’ commitment to achieving the goals.

Core Myofunctional Therapy Program (Ages 6+)
This comprehensive program is typically recommended for clients aged 6 and above and serves as the foundation for lasting functional change. Pre- and post-frenectomy care is seamlessly integrated into the program when necessary. The average duration is 6 to 9 months. Each 30-minute session teaches a series of personalized exercises designed to achieve the four main goals of Myofunctional Therapy and directly address your specific symptoms:
Commitment is Key: OMT is a process of neuro-muscular re-education. Achieving optimal, long-term results requires consistent daily practice and commitment to changing subconscious habits. Your dedication to the exercises is the most critical factor in your success.
